About Us

Virginia United has been around in one form or another since 1970.

Named after the suburb of our original venue on Goss Road, we are now located at Albert Bishop Park 574 Nudgee Road, in Nundah. We are the local football club for the suburbs of Hamilton, Ascot, Clayfield, Wooloowin, Kalinga, Zillmere, Nundah, Northgate, Virginia, Kedron, Banyo, Wavell Heights and Hendra.

Since senior football returned to the club in 2007, we are now enjoying our most successful period in the club's history, both in terms of number of members, and success on the field.

Our football philosophy is to play a possession based game, encouraging short passing and individual moments to win games. We are a club that solely focuses on player development in the junior ranks and aims to field as many junior graduate players in our first grade squad as possible. All our coaches are encouraged to complete the FQ Community Coaching Certificates and progress to the FFA professional licences. We follow closely the FFA National Curriculum to provide players with the best and most appropriate age based training possible.

Our goal is to be a valued community hub and provide our local players a professional and enjoyable environment to hone and display their skills. Nicknamed 'The Reds' in recent years after the predominant colour of the club's jersey and also, more classically, the 'Brick Men', after the Virginia Brick Company that used to provide significant employment to the suburb in late 1800 and early 1900.

We have a lot to offer and we'd love to hear from you!
